Maternity clothes? f2 pairs of pants and a few shirts.

Sleep? Sleep? What’s sleep?

Best moment this week? Realizing in less than 4 weeks Charles and I will meet our little princess.

Miss Anything? A full nights sleep!

Movement? Yeppers! She is really into this vibrating thing right now…kinda weird, not really sure what she’s doing in there.

Anything making you queasy or sick? eh…just general exhaustion.

Gender Prediction? Miss. Allison Elizabeth.

Labor Signs? None. Please lord let this child come on time!

Symptoms? HORRID back pain, peeing at LEAST twice an hour (really annoying), and general exhaustion.

Belly Button in or out? outish. Not completely popped but it still looks like our little butterball turkey is done! πŸ˜‰

Wedding Rings on or off? On.

Looking forward to? Meeting Allison. I realized that in just a few weeks Charles and I are going to welcome the most perfect and wonderful love into our family. I’m a little scared of how it will affect Charles and my relationship but I know that we are strong and will make it through all the sleepless nights! Can’t wait to see our baby girl!

Allison- 24 Weeks

20130112-191517.jpg

How Big is Allison? Our sweet girl is about the size of a cantaloupe! The average babe is 10.5 – 11.8 inches and weights about a pound and a half!

Major changes occurring?

Not too many major changes are occuring, baby is just getting bigger and stronger with every passing day. Allison is moving like crazy though! She is getting stronger and bigger making it easier for me to feel her on a more regular basis.

I tried to film her moving but EVERY Stinking time I started to film she stopped. Little stinker.

Her see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque. And it’s got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed.

Can’t wait to hold my sweet girl and snuggle her! Only 16 more weeks!

Allison- 23 Weeks

grapefruit

How Big is Allison? About the size of a grapefruit. The average babe is about 10.5 to 11.8 inches long (hold up a sheet of standard printer paper…that’s one long baby!). The average baby around this time weighs anywhere from just under a pound to a pound and half! GOSH! She is huge compared to the little poppy seed she started out at 23 weeks ago! πŸ™‚

Major changes occurring?

Not too many major changes are occuring, baby is just getting bigger and stronger with every passing day. Allison is moving like crazy though! She is getting stronger and bigger making it easier for me to feel her on a more regular basis.

Her face is fully formed but needs a little more fat to fill out. If we could peak a look inside we would be able to tell who she looks like.

Her hearing is getting better and better everyday and she is listening to mine and Charles’ voices and my heartbeat. Now that I am commuting to College Station for work I try and sing her a couple of songs and talk to her…it’s crazy because after a while she starts to move. Either she wants me to hush or she likes hearing my voice. I like the think it’s the latter! πŸ™‚ She also can hear loud sounds such as dogs barking, fire sirens and any other loud noise. She also is able to sense dark and light. If I shine a bright light on my tummy she would try and move away from the light. Already such a smart girl.

The biggest development this week is that she is forming little nipples! (Yes, really!)

Can’t wait to hold my sweet girl and snuggle her! Only 17 more weeks!

23 Weeks!

23 Weeks

How far along? 23 Weeks

Total weight gain? umm..10ish. I’m not really a fan of the gaining little to no weight in a short amount of time…:( NO FUN!

Maternity clothes? 2 pairs of pants. πŸ™‚

Stretchmarks? Nope! Thankfully my Mom & Dad gave me great skin elasticity.

Sleep? depends on the night. usually good but sometimes (like last night) I’m REALLY uncomfortable.

Best moment this week? Being able to see Allison kick/punch me! Charles doesn’t believe me that she kicks/punches that strong but she did!

Miss Anything? Comfortable sleep.

Movement? Yes! For about a month now! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE when she is awake and moving…She is definitely our little dancer.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Still having an empty stomach and a full bladder!

Gender Prediction? It’s a girl! Princess Allison! πŸ˜‰ or Alley-Bob as Dad likes to call her.

Labor Signs? None. Braxton Hicks contractions here and there but thankfully not the real deal yet!

Symptoms? Still itchy now and again, sore back and occasional numbness from Miss. Priss sitting on the wrong nerves.

Belly Button in or out? In but it’s only a matter of time. Charles is STILL disgusted by it. I can’t wait till it pops all the way out just so I can intentionally creep him out. πŸ™‚ I’m such a sweet wife.

Wedding Rings on or off? On.

Looking forward to? Holding my sweet baby. I feel like the next 17 weeks are going to drag but it’s already been 23 weeks and I don’t know where the time has gone so hopefully the next 17 will fly by as well!

Baby Allison- 21 Weeks!

How Big is Allison? About the size of a pomegranant. When we went for our anatomy scan the Wed. before last she was measuring a week behind, but not to worry, she will probably just be a smaller babe! As long as she’s healthy that’s fine by me! She is about 9.5-10.5 inches long and about 10-13 oz. Specific growth and size is getting a little harder to tell because every baby grows differently.

Pomegranant

Major changes occurring?

Not too many major changes are occuring, baby is just getting bigger and stronger with every passing day. Allison is moving like crazy though! I love being able to feel her “pop-lock-and-drop” me! πŸ™‚ I also love knowing that I get to take her with me wherever I go. I can’t wait until she’s big enough for Charles to feel her kick…hopefully that won’t be too much longer.

As her digestive system preps for the outside world, she’s manufacturing meconium — the tarry black substance Charles will find in her first dirty diaper (ew)! Yes you read that right, Charles will get to change her first diaper. lol

Allison also already has a lifetime’s supply of eggs in her womb — about six million of them! By the time she is born though only 2 million will remain, that’s still WAY more than she will ever need!

Since I haven’t posted in a while here are somethings that over the past 5 weeks she has learned to do.

She is swallowing/inhaling more amniotic fluid every day- prepping for the outside world. She also has her very own fingerprints and is developing her sense of touch. Her tastebuds have also formed and so she taste things now! πŸ™‚ She’s going to come out liking mexican food (chips and salsa)…I hope!

Hopefully I’ll remember to put up a new post next week! Until then Merry Christmas from the Darby’s!
